Jaddy Messias is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice at Gusmão & Labrunie, with more than ten years of experience at the firm and a practice focused on complex Intellectual Property disputes. She holds an LL.B. from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and postgraduate degrees in Civil Procedure Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and in Intellectual Property and Innovation Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
Her practice focuses on litigation involving trademarks, patents, trade dress, unfair competition, copyright, fashion law, and the protection of intangible assets. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience handling high-profile disputes, representing Brazilian and international clients in matters requiring technical expertise, strategic litigation, and a thorough understanding of their commercial implications.
Jaddy represents clients across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, cosmetics, luxury goods, technology, fashion, and entertainment. She is also actively involved in the advancement of the profession, serving as Coordinator of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-SP), São José do Rio Preto Chapter, reinforcing her active role in discussions shaping the development of Intellectual Property law in Brazil.
