Marina Siqueira is a Partner in the Patent Practice at Gusmão & Labrunie, where she works at the intersection of science, innovation, and patent strategy. Her practice focuses on protecting inventions in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, plant varieties, cosmetics, biology, and agribusiness sectors.
Marina holds a degree in Pharmacy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas) and an M.Sc. in Internal Medicine from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She has also completed advanced studies in Clinical Pharmacology, Homeopathy, and Cosmetology, providing her with a broad and highly specialized technical foundation for the assessment of complex technologies.
With more than 12 years of experience in Intellectual Property, Marina advises Brazilian and international clients throughout every stage of the patent lifecycle, including patent drafting, filing, and prosecution in Brazil and abroad, as well as preparing legal opinions on patentability, freedom to operate, infringement, and validity. She also provides technical support in patent litigation and other complex disputes.
Her practice is distinguished by the ability to translate sophisticated scientific concepts into clear and effective patent protection strategies and legal-technical positions.
