Caio Carnauba is a Chemist in the Life Sciences Patent Practice at Gusmão & Labrunie. He holds a degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a postgraduate qualification in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). He has been with the firm since 2023.

His practice focuses on the technical and strategic assessment of inventions, including the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, prior art searches, responses to office actions, third-party observations, patentability assessments, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
